Championship 9-hole links-style golf at the foot of the breathtaking Sangre de Cristo Mountains — open to all, welcoming to everyone.
New Mexico Highlands University, in partnership with the City of Las Vegas and San Miguel County, is proud to offer Gene Torres Golf Course to the campus community, residents of Las Vegas, and golfers from across the state and surrounding region.
Originally founded in 1958, the course was reimagined in 2008 by renowned architect Jeffrey D. Brauer, transforming it into a championship-length links-style layout. After further renovations, the course reopened in June 2022 to wide acclaim.
Featuring three par 4s measuring 400+ yards, a beloved signature par 5 on Hole 8, and what many consider one of the hardest par 3s in New Mexico to close on Hole 9.
Play 9 or go around twice for a full 18-hole experience. Five tee options ensure a great game for every skill level.
